UOW Dean a Finalist in Classical Music Awards

Dean of the Faculty of Creative Arts, Professor Andrew Schultz, has been announced as a finalist in the prestigious 2006 Classical Music Awards for his composition, Journey to Horseshoe Bend. The dramatic Cantata has been nominated for the high profile ‘Vocal or Choral Work of the Year’ category. Full story

 

UOW Racing Car Finishes Close Second in the United States

The Faculty of Engineering is celebrating after its Formula SAE racing team finished a close second in an international championship in the United States. At this year’s event in Fontana, UOW was the top performing team in the dynamics event and scored near perfect marks in all other categories. Read more

 

2006 Appeal – Donate now

Commerce Breakfast: Opportunity Knocks - Illawarra

Public Lecture: Water, Life, Sustainability with Ryan Hreljac and Arron Wood

This event features two inspirational environmental change agents. Only 16 years of age, Ryan has already raised over $1 million in 10 years, helping 350,000 people gain access to clean water. Arron was named as one of the world’s 25 most inspirational 25 year olds by the French Canadian magazine, La Actualité. Together they will inspire you to change our world. More information.

A Creative Arts Postgraduate and Honours lunchtime information session is being held on Wednesday 30 August. The session will cover a range of information such as, entry requirements, the application process and career choices open to postgraduate and honours students. More Information

 

New UOW Memorabilia

UOW’s line of memorabilia has been expanded to include a range of commemorative rings, now available from the UniShop.
