Community Engagement Grants Scheme (CEGS)
The Community Engagement Grants Scheme (CEGS) is an annual grants scheme designed to encourage and support research, educational or outreach projects which enhance the University’s engagement with the communities it serves. Round 4 of the CEGS attracted 34 Expressions of Interest from across all nine faculties and two campuses and included nine student projects. After careful consideration by the Assessment Panel, six projects were selected for funding including a project that involves the development of a DVD for children with cerebral palsy; one that addresses the impact of government fines on young people; an indigenous writing symposium and a partnership between International House Residential campus and the Strategic Community Assistance to Refugee Families (SCARF).

A Presentation Ceremony was held on Friday 5 September and gave the opportunity for guests to hear from the project leaders and their community partners on the objectives of their projects.
