UOW Alumnus Receives Top Undergraduate Thesis Award
University Medal winner, Jane Olsen, recently won the prestigious Undergraduate Thesis Award at the 2006 Australia and New Zealand Regional Science Association Inc (ANZRSAI) conference for her honours thesis, The Innovation Process in Small and Medium Sized Enterprise: A Study of New South Wales Business . Public Lecture: Legal Protection in the 'War on Terror'
David Hick's detention in Guantanamo Bay since 2001 has raised concerns about the balance between national security and legal protection in the context of the 'war on terror'. David Hick's defence lawyer, Major Michael Mori will reflect on the law's capacity to protect due process and principles of fairness in a national and international political environment . UOW Alumni Census
The Alumni Office is conducting the University's first Alumni Census to better understand the careers, attitudes and interests of UOW graduates. Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research Supervision
The Vice-Chancellor invites present and past postgraduate research students to nominate their academic supervisors for the 2006 'Supervisor of the Year Award'. The winner will receive a plaque and cash prize of $2,000, to be presented at the Vice-Chancellor's Awards in early 2007. Nominations close on Friday 23 February 2007.
