Rail Services
The nearest available rail service for the Wollongong main campus is North Wollongong station. North Wollongong Station is on the South Coast line and is just over an hour from Sutherland. Refer to the UOW Transport Guide for other transport options. Please ensure you obtain your transport concession pass for student fare discounts.

CityRail Trains
The North Wollongong Railway Station services the University with 51 southbound rail services and 45 northbound services each weekday. The station is located on Porter Street, North Wollongong.
Trains run approximately every 20 minutes on weekdays during peak hours, and every 30 minutes during off-peak hours. At night, and on weekends, trains run on a reduced timetable. Please obtain your rail timetable from City Rail via the link below or in hardcopy from North Wollongong Station.

Getting from the Station to the Campus
A UOW free shuttle bus runs between North Wollongong station and the main campus via the ring road every 20 minutes (between the hours of 7:30 am and 10:00 pm).
The shuttle bus runs on a full timetable during Autumn and Spring sessions (including exam periods), changing to a reduced timetable during recess and Summer sessions.
Alternatively, it is a 15-20 minute walk from North Wollongong station to the main campus.
