Driving

Due to limited parking and the cost of travel, we encourage students to strongly consider alternate methods of travelling to Uni . These include travelling by train, bus, or bicycle.

Parking on campus is via a purchased entry permit and is very limited. Depending on the type of permit you purchase you will be limited to parking in specific areas.

If you do choose to drive and park on campus, and need to walk to your car after dark, please get Security to provide you with safe escorts or walk with a friend.

How to get to the Wollongong Campus

  • From Sydney, proceed south along the F6 freeway and take the University / Gwynneville exit.
  • From southern NSW, proceed north along the F6 freeway towards Sydney and take the University exit.

International students should note that in Australia, cars drive on the left side of the road. For information on rules & regulations on driving in Australia, refer to the RTA website.
