How to Obtain a Travel Concession Pass
Full time domestic students can apply for a rail and bus concession sticker at Student Central. This allows travel at a concession rate on City Rail and local bus services. For information relating to concession eligibility, please contact Student Central on (02) 4221 3927 or go to the Ministry of Transport website at http://transport.nsw.gov.au/concessions
New Students
Obtain a concession logo on your student ID either on enrolment day or from Student Central, Building 17.
Re-Enrolling Students
Eligible students can take their Student ID card to Student Central in Building 17 to receive a CityRail concession sticker for the coming year. Concession stickers are valid from start of session in the current year until the start of session the following year and incorporate both bus and rail travel.
Rural/Regional Students
Students under the age of 30 and deemed to fall under Rural or Regional areas may be entitled to an Omnibus Fare Concessions. Students will need to collect a Ministry of Transport Form 320 (Omnibus Concession Fare Certificate) from Student Central which should then be taken to the local bus/ferry provider.
Students will need to provide evidence to the local bus/ferry provider that they are not receiving an income or remuneration, and the timetable of their contact hours at university.
