Liaison Librarians
Your Liaison Librarian offers expertise in information literacy (library skills) and can work with you to develop instructional programs linked to assessment tasks. Curriculum support includes identifying and recommending information resources for subject reading lists, teaching and research needs and for new subject proposals.
Your Liaison Librarian is also available to provide professional advice to support your teaching programs.
Available To: All current staff and students within the assigned faculty.

CEDIR Educational Development Staff
You can approach CEDIR for support with subject design, subject redesign, improving assessment, group work strategies, eTeaching practices, evaluation and much more.
CEDIR Educational Development staff are your first point of contact if you are trying to improve your teaching or are implementing new, innovative teaching methods.
Available To: Academic staff and tutors currently employed by UOW.

Production of teaching resources (FSA)
Use these production services to update or upgrade your current teaching mediums, making them more interesting and engaging to your students.
Services can include: design of websites, design and development of interactive flash simulations, interactive web-based quizzes, production of video resources, print resources, professional graphic and interface design and interactive databases.
Available To: UOW academic staff who require support to develop teaching materials. Applications MUST be approved and ranked by the Faculty Education Committee prior to submission to CEDIR.
Cost: Free under FSA (Faculty Service Agreement), otherwise charged at an hourly rate.

Academic literacy consultations
Learning Development lecturers are able to consult with you to provide your students with the necessary academic literacy instruction and language support for the subject and discipline.
Depending on your students needs, these consultations might involve reviewing curriculum design, identifying and addressing students' learning needs, assisting in assessment design and development, implementing of marking criteria related to the academic/tertiary literacy requirements for the subject; and planning for integrated academic literacy and language instruction.
Available To: Support is available to Subject Co-ordinators through consultation with the Learning Development representative on your FEC.

Use the exemplars, guides and tools provided on the Learning Design website to gain ideas and implement them in your teaching
