Evaluation plays an important role at UOW, listed below are services to help you to evaluate the different aspects of your classes.

Teacher Evaluation
Teacher Evaluations are a way to obtain feedback from students on aspects of your teaching practice. By using the information gathered from the surveys, you can then revisit any elements of concern.
Survey results are also used in applications for promotion or continuing appointment. For more informaion, see Academic Promotion and Academic Probation.
Available to: Any person with a teaching role in any subject at UOW. Apply using the Teacher Evaluation Request to CEDIR, Building 20.
More Information: For more information please see: CEDIR - Teacher and Subject Evaluations.
Subject Evaluation Survey
Subject Evaluation Surveys offer a way for students to give feedback on aspects of the subject. Subject Coordinators may add up to two optional questions to the standard set. Results are sent to Subject Coordinators, who use student feedback to make improvements to the subject next time it is offered.
Available to: Faculties or Subject Coordinators. All Faculties survey a proportion of subjects each session. If your subject is not scheduled for evaluation, you may apply for it to be included. For applications, please contact your Faculty Education Committee Chair by session commencement.
More Information: For more information please see the Subject Evaluation Survey webpage.
Subject or course review & improvement
Use the review to assess why subjects have high failure rates or simply to further improve the quality of your subjects or courses.
It's an individual review of the teaching or learning aspects of your subject or course, conducted collaboratively between yourself and either CEDIR or Learning Development. Learning Development can compile student views of the subject/course while CEDIR can assess the content, methods and materials.
Available to: Academic staff or members of faculty working groups. Applications must be made before the beginning of session to the FEC representative from your faculty.
More Information: For more information on subject or course quality review contact your CEDIR Faculty Liaison Representative or Learning Development FEC Representative.
