Submit a case study
This web site is a forum for UOW teaching academics and teaching support units to share successful learning and teaching practice.
If you have had a successful practice, please do contribute!
Style guidelines
Please use the major headings provided in the template, and write your example as clearly and concisely as possible. If there are any technical terms that may not be understood outside your discipline, please explain these, and spell out or define any acronyms.
Submission guidelines
Step 1 - download the template

Step 2 - write up your case study, using the headings provided (needed by the database for the site). Your own subheadings can be added under these as needed
Step 3 - submit the example to your FEC Chair or Unit Head
Case study validation and publication
All case studies that are supported by FEC Chairs or Unit Heads will be forwarded to the Excellence, Diversity and Innovation in Teaching Subcommittee (EDITS) of the University Education Committee for review. EDITS, represented by its nominated members, will review the case study. They may accept, reject, or ask for further information.
EDITS may also edit a case study. If your case study is edited, it will be sent back to you to approve/amend.
When the editing and approval processes are complete, the example will be published on this site, and you will receive notification that this has happened.
If a case study is not accepted for publication, this doesn't necessarily imply that it was not good practice. EDITS may reject examples if they:
- are very similar to those already published
- are standard practice (even though this practice is good)
- would be difficult for others to emulate, eg highly specific
- have not yet shown evidence of results (eg were submitted too early)

Case study review
Published case studies will be reviewed from time to time by EDITS. To keep the site current, they may remove particular case studies or request that they be updated.
