Good Practice Cases

About the case studies

This site is for UOW teaching staff and others interested in sharing their experiences and good practice case studies. It aims to:

  • support discussion and reflection
  • acknowledge some of the many innovative learning and teaching practices at UOW
  • encourage quality and innovative teaching at UOW
  • provide a venue where the UOW community can share good ideas and successful teaching strategies
  • support quality assurance practices

Like good teaching, these case studies are diverse in the ideas offered and in their scope. As the site grows, they will cover a range of areas; some may show how student learning was supported in a single subject; others feature successful approaches for learning and teaching quality that operate across a Faculty.

All have something to offer - an innovative solution, insights into teaching practice, ideas on student learning, or ways to embed quality processes.

Thank you to 2005 ESDF Project on Faculty Quality Assurance for Teaching and Learning, which established the site, and to the highly-committed teaching academics who have shared their experiences on this site.

If you would like to share some of your own successful and innovative practices on this site, please submit a case study.
