Dharawal Scholarship

The Dharawal Scholarship has been created to support an Australian Indigenous person studying in an undergraduate degree at the University of Wollongong. The scholarship endeavours to make funds available to students who wish to pursue their academic studies full-time within any faculty.

Criteria:

  • Must be enrolled full time in an undergraduate degree at the University of Wollongong.
  • Successful applicant must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
  • This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is able to demonstrate active involvement in the community, financial need, as well as a commitment to their studies by maintaining a pass average. 
  • The selection criteria will include academic achievement, demonstrated community engagement and financial need.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.

  • A completed Current Student Application Form 
  • A brief cover letter, resume and outline of community involvement
  • A photocopy of your academic records.
  • A one page outline of how the scholarship will assist you in your career ambitions.
  • A one page statement demonstrating financial need.
  • Please submit your application package single sided and unstapled.
