What you need to know as an Honours Supervisor

Q2. What are my additional responsibilities as an Honours Coordinator?

As an Honours Coordinator, you may be delegated responsibility by the Head of your Academic Unit for ensuring that appropriate practices are in place for the admission, supervision and examination of Honours students and that there is an Honours Guide that sets out all procedures and requirements pertaining to assessment. Section 3.2 of the Code of Practice – Honours sets out the responsibilities of the Academic Unit in relation to Honours students. The extent to which these responsibilities are delegated to the Honours Coordinator will depend on the particular unit and the size of the honours cohort.
