PC and PR Grades and Supplementary Assessment Guidelines
Key improvements to assessment practice come into effect 1 January 2012, bringing UOW in line with the majority of Australian Universities. Changes include the discontinuation of Pass Conceded and Pass Restricted grades, and the introduction of Supplementary Assessments. This means that in certain circumstances, students who fail a subject but were close to passing may be offered an opportunity to undertake an additional assessment.
University Council approved the Supplementary Assessment Guidelines and consequential amendments to related UOW Rules and policy documents in June 2010. The University Council approved further amendments to the Supplementary Assessment Guidelines in October 2011.
