Permit Ownership/Entitlements

A UOW or Motorcycle entry permit does not guarantee the holder a parking space. Entry permits are a licence issued to an individual to access and remain on the property of the University. The University may revoke at any time an individual’s licence to access university grounds or parking areas. Entry permit ownership is not transferable. Failure to abide by these rules may result in the cancellation of the permit and termination of an individual’s licence to access campus parking areas.

Disabled Parking - RTA Mobility Permits

Cards issued by the Roads Traffic Authority NSW (RTA) under the mobility parking scheme are valid on campus.  These cards provide access to either:

  • Signposted Disabled Parking Bays.
  • UOW Permit Bays.
  • Pay & Display Ticket Bays.
  • Parking Station - show your card to the Parking Attendant for complimentary parking.
  • Parking Station - spaces available on Level G.

No parking charges are applicable to RTA mobility cards using the parking bays described above.

University is a restricted parking area under the NSW Road Rules.  Mobility Parking Scheme operates within those rules.  Mobility Scheme card holders may still be issued with a Penalty Notice when parking outside the provisions of the NSW Road Rules.

Designated disabled parking spaces are usually located in carparks adjacent to buildings.  To locate disabled parking bays refer to the Campus Guide

The University no longer issues disabled parking permits to staff and students. You must have a RTA Mobility Card to access disabled parking.  Students and staff requiring further information on applying for a RTA Mobility Permit Scheme Card can access the RTA website. Go to: Forms - Mobility Parking Scheme.
