Safety Escorts
After dark, staff and students can obtain a safety escort from Security staff, who will walk with you across campus to your car, to the taxi rank or to the bus stop.
Plan your departure ahead of time and ring Security fifteen minutes before you need to leave.
Telephone ext 4555 internally, or from a mobile ring 4221 4555. If your call is answered by our answering service please leave a message, a contact number and a meeting place with the operator. When you hang up, Security Officers will receive a pager message from the operator about 40 seconds later. They will meet you at the meeting place or call you back.
Security Telephones
Security Telephones are located about the campus. They are signposted and are accompanied by a blue light that is illuminated at night. If you need asssitance or are concerned about your welfare use a Security Telephone to talk to security staff.
CCTV cameras
CCTV cameras are programmed to record all of the time. Security staff are not always able to watch camera monitors. So if you need help, use a Security Telephone.
NRMA
If you breakdown and need the NRMA, you can use any Security Telephone to access the Road Service. The NRMA have a designated meeting place on Northfields Avenue in front of the UniCentre Building entrance. The meeting place is signposted.
Shuttle Bus
The Shuttle Bus can be used to move from one end of the campus to the other or to link up with North Wollongong Railway Station. For more about the Shuttle Bus service, click here.
