University’s Water Saving Action Plan (WSAP)

The Facilities Management Division (FMD) has continued to work closely with Sydney Water and the University’s Faculties of Engineering and Chemistry on water saving projects and overall delivery of the University’s Water Saving Action Plan (WSAP) which was approved by the Minister for Water Utilities on 27 March 2007.  The WSAP is being implemented from 2007–2011.

The WSAP identified a number of energy savings initiatives. The ‘Initiatives in Action’ page provides a summary of those which have either been fully implemented or are currently in progress, as well as some significant past achievements.

University’s Water Management Plan

University of Wollongong (UOW) engaged Storm Consulting to investigate and prepare a Water Management Plan for the main Wollongong campus. The Water Management Plan defines an Action for the period 2010-2012 to minimise UOW’s reliance on potable water.
