UOW has a mobile phone recycling program with Mobile Muster. All mobiles recycled via Mobile Muster are dismantled and recycled. No mobile phones are refurbished or reused as part of this program.
What can be recycled via Mobile Muster?

- headphones and other accessories
Ensure you remove the sim card and delete personal information from your phone. For assistance with this refer to your phone manufacturer's website or their helpline.
Collection locations
At the Wollongong Campus, please place your mobile phone and accessories in the Mobile Muster collections in:
- Facilities Management Division, Building 31
- IMTS, Building 39c
- iMac store in the UniShop
You can also collect a Mobile Muster pre-paid envelope from your local post office to post your phone for recycling.
