Filing Fling for Paper Recycling - ALL WEEK

Planet Ark is promoting paper recycling as one theme of National Recycling Week. They estimate that only 1 in 10 pieces of printed paper gets recycled, with most ending up filed away never to be read again, or in the bin.

UOW is adopting this theme and encouraging you to use National Recycling Week as your incentive to spend just 15 minutes doing a quick clean up of your desk/office and sort out your paper resources.  Determine if the documents are a UOW record.  Refer to Records Management Policies.  Once you have confirmed that these documents are not UOW records they can be placed into the blue bins for recycling.  If you are unsure about what you need to do, please send an email to the Records Management team at rm-request@uow.edu.au or call x5059.

Alternatively, clean up your shared drive so that people can find things and not print out wrong copies of documents. Get your team involved to make it more fun.

Let the ESI team know you or your team are participating by emailing: environment_team@uow.edu.au and you or your team could win a prize up to $100 (individual) or $300 (team).
