Scholarships

Helping students achieve their dreams

The University of Wollongong's Scholarship program is designed to reward and encourage excellence, and to help our students realise their potential.

The University itself sponsors many of these scholarships, however the program is also well supported by a range of valued partners including national and regional organizations which see the worth of assisting the next generation of UOW graduates. These partners include Bluescope Steel ltd, ANSTO, ActewAGL, Roads ACT, Illawarra Area Health Service, IMB Banking and Financial Services, Illawarra Credit Union, Illawarra Technology Corporation, Crane Metals, the NSW RTA and Wollongong City Council. UOW enjoys a rewarding partnership with our sponsors.

Testimonial

Bachelor of Environmental Science (Advanced) student Hilary Johnson held a Professional Development Scholarship with the Wollongong City Council.

"The Wollongong City Council Scholarship provided me with the invaluable experience of life in the workforce. Through the initiative, I gained knowledge of the practical applications of my degree as well as many general skills that have continued to assist me in my present studies. It was one of the most worthwhile activities I have participated in during my university degree." Hilary said.
