Coffee Week 2008
 Thank you to the University community for supporting the inaugural UOW Cares' Coffee Week, 8-12 September, a fundraising initiative of the UOW Cares Workplace Giving Committee. With the support of Sixty Seven Dining, Picasso and Pool Unique, a total of $1700.00 was raised for student scholarships. Read more here.
"When asked why I give to UOW CARES, I don’t have the medical training to help with cornea transplants, I am too scared to volunteer to help people in war zones, too busy to sit on a pole protesting against environmental destruction. What I can do is support people who do these things through, for example, the Fred Hollows Foundation, the Australian Conservation Foundation, Oxfam Australia...I can also contribute to research and education and support UOW."

Celebrate the University's inaugural Coffee Week, 8-12 September 2008. Coffee for a Cause is a UOW Cares Workplace Giving initiative to help raise funds for student scholarships.
- For every coffee sold at participating outlets, 50 cents will be donated to UOW Cares internal funds.
- Staff and students can receive a FREE UOW Cares mug when they purchase five or more coffees using their UOW Cares loyalty card, available at participating outlets.*
- Sign-up to UOW Cares by the end of September and go in the draw to receive a Domayne coffee machine.**

* Loyalty cards valid from 8 to 12 September inclusive; collect, complete and return your loyalty card at participating outlets; the first 100 cards to be drawn at the conclusion of Coffee Week will receive a FREE UOW Cares mug. Eligible recipients will be notified by email by 26 September.
** Staff who sign-up to the UOW Cares Workplace Giving program from 8-30 September inclusive, as well as existing givers to UOW Cares, will go in the draw to receive a Domayne coffee machine. Recipient will be notified by email by 17 October.
