Committees
One of the University’s guiding principals as an institution is ‘community collaboration and service’. This principal embodies a dynamic, two-way relationship. It helps communities to prosper in association with a university of international reputation, while allowing UOW to draw support and inspiration from the community.
The Community Engagement Committee and Community Reference Group play a key role in guiding the University’s community engagement activities and initiatives.
Community Engagement Committee
The Community Engagement Committee (CEC) comprising of key University staff and student representatives, and external representation, guides and supports the University’s core goal of dynamic engagement with our communities along with the Office of Advancement.

Community Reference Group
The Community Reference Group (CRG) is advisory to the Chair of the Community Engagement Committee (CEC) and plays a central role in community consultation. Its main purpose is to provide a link between the community and the University and to facilitate discussion on key issues in the development and implementation of the University's strategic plan.
