2017 Coffee for a Cause

This September is the 10th UOW Coffee for a Cause. The generosity of staff, students and community, together with coffee outlets on and off campus, has raised over $27,000 for student equity scholarships. Testimony to what we can achieve together!

Simply by drinking coffee and getting together with colleagues and friends, you can make a difference.

UOW Coffee for a Cause runs annually and is part of the UOW Cares® Staff Workplace Giving program. The Coffee for a Cause campaign supports students to reach their full potential by raising funds for the UOW Learning and Development Scholarship Fund (L&D) supporting student equity scholarships.

Your support is needed more than ever, with record numbers of students applying.

You can help:

  • Host a morning or afternoon tea. It’s a great excuse to get the team together or catch up with friends whilst making a difference. Contact community@uow.edu.au for your hosting kit.
  • Purchase a coffee from participating outlets at Wollongong and Shoalhaven campus for the month of September with 20 cents from each coffee purchased donated to L&D.
  • While out and about in Wollongong, for the month of September, drop your gold coins into the collection box at selected outlets displaying the UOW Coffee for a Cause poster.
  • Tag your coffee photo with #UOWCoffee4aCause and tag your participating outlet for your chance to win 1 week’s free coffee.

Last year, through the generous support of staff, students and the Illawarra community, UOW Coffee for a Cause raised over $5,000 for the L&D. With your support we’ll make 2017 the best year yet!
