Chancellor's Awards for Voluntary Contribution – Celebrating Volunteers
Presented by the University of Wollongong, these annual Awards recognise voluntary service by community members and graduates of the University and highlight the contribution they make to the enrichment of their community and advancement of society.
In recognition of their significant contribution, $2,000 will be donated by the University to a registered charity or non-profit group of the recipient’s choice. These awards are open to both individual and group nominations.
2011 Chancellor's Awards Recipients
Chancellor Jillian Broadbent AO announced the winners of the 2011Chancellor’s Awards for Voluntary Contribution at a special function called 'Celebrating Volunteers' held at the University's Innovation campus on Friday 5th August 2011. More than 200 volunteers, supporters and graduates from the University attended the function including nominees of this year's Chancellor's Awards. The Chancellor praised all of the nominees for the Awards for their commitment and outstanding contribution.

This year saw 21 nominations submitted. The selection panel commented on the high standard of the nominees and the level of commitment shown to the University of Wollongong and the community.

Award Nomination Process
Nominations for the 2011 Chancellor's Awards have now closed. Recipients were presented with their Awards at a special function at the University hosted by UOW Chancellor, Ms Jillian Broadbent AO on 5th August 2011 please see above for the list of recipients.
