2009 Chancellor's Awards for Achievement in Community Service

Nominations now open – closing 31st July 2009

Nominations are now open for the Chancellor's Awards for Achievement in Community Service for 2009.

The Awards were established in 2007 to recognise achievement in community service and highlight the personal contributions that University of Wollongong alumni and community members make to the enrichment of their community and advancement of their society. The Awards highlight the value of community service and the importance the University attaches to this aspect of its mission.

This year, up to four awards will be presented to community groups or individuals and graduates of the University who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the area of community service. The awards will be presented at the Celebrating Community function to be held in late 2009.

$5,000 to a chosen charity

In recognition of their significant contribution, $5,000 will be donated to a registered charity or non-profit group of the winner’s choice.

Nomination Process

**Please be advised the Chancellor’s Award Guidelines and Forms have been updated as at Saturday 04 July 2009.

  1. Read the Chancellor’s Award Guidelines **
  2. Complete the Nomination Form for:
    1. Category A: Alumni (PDF or Word) **
    2. Category B: Community Members (PDF or Word) **
  3. Submit all documentation by Friday 31st July 2009
