WELCOME TO NGAMTA'S WEBSITE

Who am I?

My name is Ngamta Thamwattana, or some people call me ``Natalie". I am from a little province in the South of Thaildnd, ``Chumphon" http://www.tourismthailand.org/destinationguide/list.aspx?provinceid=69. I finised high school in my home town and then continued my study at Mahidol University, Bangkok. I was a science student at 1st year and in the 2nd year I chose major Mathematics. The reason was that we didn't have to play with the chemical stuffs and we didn't have to kill rat or any insects. In my 2nd year, I received the scholarship from IPST (Institute of teaching Science and Technology), Thailand and this scholarship supported me until I completed my PhD in 2005.

Research Interests

Continuum mechanics of flowing granular material.

The analytical solutions for Rat-holes, Sand-piles.

Mathematical modelling in nanotechnology.

History

Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Wollongong, Australia. Thesis title, ``Some Analytical Solutions for Problems Involving Highly Frictional Granualar Materials''. Supervisor: Professor James M. Hill.

Bachelor of Science (Maths) Hons. degree from the Mahidol University( http://www.mahidol.ac.th), Thailand 1997-2000.
